WOYWW 643 - No-Glue Boxes & New Crafty Stash

Good morning from a chilly Pembrokeshire. Our underfloor heating has been coming on almost every day for a couple of weeks, and this morning I gave in and turned on the radiators upstairs (my craft room was very cold yesterday). I even have a jumper on! At least it is sunny today, after a few grey/windy/wet days. We have a new window cleaner coming to inspect the house fairly early this morning and give us a quote for a monthly visit (exciting for me, after 2 years of trying to keep them clean myself - there are 22!). A busy day ahead for me, and then we are going out for a meal with friends this evening (hubby did do the Fishguard to London cycle ride last week, so this is a celebration for that).

I am sharing a bit about my life and my craft room as it is WOYWW (What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday). Click HERE to join in.

There has been some crafting this week, but mostly out at workshops. We started making an Expanding Accordian card at the Haverfordwest class last Friday, but didn't have time to finish (a lot of cutting out), so I completed it at home on Sunday. Really pretty papers.

Yesterday was our Tuesday Papercraft group in Milford Haven. We made some No-Glue Boxes and a little Gift Card. Fun and now I want to make boxes all the time!

Firstly, this is the kit that we are given. Everything cut out and ready, with choices.

The view I am looking at - and, yes, I managed to resist buying anything (this time)!

I have ordered a few crafty stash items this week, some of which arrived yesterday. I wanted a new stamping platform and found one on Amazon Warehouse for a bargain price (the box is slightly damaged - in fact, it looks almost perfect). I had also wanted a new wheeled craft tote, but couldn't justify spending £140-150. I had bought a plain black wheely suitcase from a local charity shop for £4 and was also using my shopping bag on wheels, but then saw that DoCrafts have a Shop section on their website with bargain bundles. There was a deal which I thought must be too good to be true. A gorgeous Santoro Autumn design wheeled tote, with a free desk tote, for 75% off (so only £35) - and free delivery. Well, it was a real offer and they arrived within 24 hours. A beautiful design and colour, and very good quality. I will show off my other stash next week.

You can see the 'free' desk tote from the side (it is a good size and loads of different sections/pockets). The stamped images next to it is our homework for the Tuesday Papercraft group - we have to colour a few different sheets of flowers/leaves in.

I hope everyone is happy and well(ish). Lots of Covid cases in Pembrokeshire still, with kids off school and lots of businesses affected. Our builder still cannot finish off the rental house in Haverfordwest, as he is waiting for the scaffolding to go up and the garage door to arrive. Also, my hairdresser has had to close, as both of her daughters have tested positive. Thankfully we are all ok on the farm.
