Good morning from an increasingly sunny Pembrokeshire. I must get the first load of washing on soon, as it will be a good drying day. I am a little later than planned with this blog post (a weekly tour around crafty workspaces - click HERE to join in), as I decided to do my online Spanish lessons early today. I will be thinking in Spanish all day now!
Crafting has happened this week. I was meant to go to a quilling workshop last Saturday, but that was cancelled, so I started using the quilling kit I bought in the charity shop. So far I have started making a heart to go on a card. A bit wonky, but I am learning as I go along.
I then went to the new weekly Papercraft group yesterday morning and we did some glitter paste projects. I made the start of 2 Christmas cards, and then got ambitious and decorated this bag. Glitter paste is fun to work with (although a bit messy) and can be used on a wide variety of surfaces, including glass. I bought another bag to create a ballet bag for my granddaughter, plus 2 pink pastes and a silver (the group is held in a local craft shop, so we can buy what we need at the time). I will post a separate blog post about that.
The monthly craft group that I help with at a local chapel is starting again next week, so I am actually having to plan my calendar to ensure I don't do too much. Sadly, I won't be able to get to the scrapbooking/mixed media classes every Friday. My symptoms and pain levels are still stubbornly high, and life is busy with family/farm business etc, so I am making sure I get the rest time I need. I have also started a course this week learning how to do readings with Lenormand cards. I had fallen out of love with Tarot a couple of years ago, but really miss do readings, and Lenormand grabbed my attention. Loving it so far. Get in touch if you would like to go in the queue for a free reading as I practice.
